How Do I Book?

So you are thinking about booking a boudoir session with me? Awesome! First thing you should do if you haven’t already is to take a good look over my Facebook Group and of course website/blog. But I am guessing you may of already done this because you found your way here ;) First thing first is to use the contact page to send me an email, explain a little about why you would like a session and let me know if you are wanting your session with a special date in mind (wedding or birthday gift as an example)

Phone Call

From that initial contact, we book a time in to jump on the phone. Booking a time instead of just calling ensures that you have my full attention. Being a Mum, I like to make sure I have a quiet place to talk with all of the info I need in front of me to answer any questions you may have. It also ensures I am not in the middle of a session. To be honest, I used to find the phone a little scary! But I find getting on the phone is not only the best way for us to get to know each other a little better so you can decide if I am the right photographer for you. Boudoir photography is an intimate experience so this is important. It also allows me to answer any questions, explain the process a little more and also go over the ordering process and let you know a little more about the products I have on offer. This is so you understand the pricing guide more when you look over it. There is never any pressure to book, this is your decision 100%.

Booking

Once you decide that yes I would like to book, Paying the the booking fee is what secures your session. This is generally 50% of the session fee and can be done on the phone via credit card or bank transfer. We look at dates and book you in. After your booking you will start receiving welcome emails, and of course your boudoir contract as a final step to lock your date in.

How Do I pick a Date?

If you are wanting the session to celebrate a special date such as a birthday or anniversary, then I always recommend booking a date in for around 6 weeks before that date. This is to ensure any items you order can be designed and delivered with time to spare. In saying that, with the world as it is today with lockdowns etc, the sooner you have a date for your session the better if you are needing products by a certain date.

During the Nov/Dec period, this is peek season for family photographers and suppliers. So if you have a special date in mind over this period I suggest booking even further in advance. Not only do I usually have more work to get done but my suppliers have a bigger backorder so ordering and shipping times takes longer and are our of my control. Over the Christmas/New Year period my suppliers who are also Australian Family run businesses usually close for up to 3 weeks which can affect orders during this period.

Booking a date in advance also gives you time to choose a collection and pay it off with my pre payment plans before your session. You will have the option to upgrade that at your viewing if you wish to do so.

I hope this covers some of your questions about the booking process! I cannot wait to get you in front of my camera!
