“A few months ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer and was told I will need a double mastectomy and reconstruction.

I have always loved my boobs so I was devastated, I started thinking about getting a boudoir shoot but couldn’t decide, didn’t think I would look sexy enough. Then I got my date for surgery with only 4 weeks notice and thought shit it’s now or never and I am so glad I did it!

Kristy and her team are amazing! Leah and Katie did my hair and make up and it’s absolutely beautiful! I even did school pick up with it done, I didn’t want to take it off. Kristy and her assistant make you feel so comfortable and relaxed during the shoot with plenty of laughs too. I’m feeling like a sexy woman now and I’m so excited to see the rest of the photos.”

“Well on Monday, I finally put down my walls and did something that I never thought I would do! Especially at the age of 41!!

I fully put myself out of my comfort zone, stripped down to my undies and did my Boudoir session with the amazing and talented Kristy Short and oh my lord, I couldn’t be happier!!!!!

“Wow what can I say! Kristy is a magician with the camera. I was so nervous I almost backed out, my brain telling me I’m not pretty enough or skinny enough to get these sort of pictures done but I stuck through even though right up to me walking in I wanted to run away.

The team at Boudoir by Kristy Lee is fantastic! Tammi & Kate made me look beautiful and Brooke made me laugh and feel so relaxed, fixing not only my hair during the day but also my underwear, helping me dress and generally getting close to my bum They had me laughing and relaxing and really enjoying myself. It was such a fun day.

I really struggle with the voice in my head, as I’m sure most women do but I’m so glad I took the plunge and did the shoot for myself. Thank you so much for making me feel so beautiful!”

“I’ve always had a negative view of my body which came from poor eating habits.

When I was starting high school I binge ate and it was all so unhealthy. No exercise just constant eating to hide my feelings and deal with my anxiety. This continued throughout high school and University. About 4 years ago, I went through a very rough break up and I stopped eating. I began hating my body in a whole new way and would not eat a meal for over 36 hours. I was so unhappy and knew I needed to make a change, so I got myself a personal trainer. After a year with her guidance I now feel so happy within my own body *most of the time*. I’ve found a new love for the gym and keeping myself fit.

Fast track to now and I’m consuming a healthy amount and have a much healthier relationship physically and mentally with food. I can now appreciate that some days my body won’t be what I want it to be and I sometimes find myself missing my old body because it was thinner. But, this body is the only one I have and it’s FUCKING fabulous. It goes above and beyond for me and I need to start appreciating it more.

I can’t wait to see how it continues to change as I grow older and have my own children but for now I am wholeheartedly ready to embrace all of me. Kristy and the team made me feel like a million dollars today and made any fears I had vanish in a second.

“I had this shoot done as a gift for my fiancé to give him on our wedding day.

Kristy was a pleasure to deal with from the very first interaction, she explained the whole process, gave me tips and advice along the way and made me feel involved and comfortable both before and during the shoot.

The hair and make up team were amazing!! Looking at the after photos, you would never know I was finishing off my week of night shifts, and had fit this shoot in between night shift, wedding dress fittings and hair and make up trials, as well as running around after the kids.

Kristy and her assistant made me feel completely comfortable and at ease during the shoot, and there was many laughs throughout the day!! Overall it was an extremely empowering and enjoyable experience and I whole heartedly recommend doing it!”

"At the beginning of the day, I was feeling super excited and a bit nervous I must say. But I loved every minute of it.

Back when I first made my appointment, I hadn’t done this sort of photoshoot before. I thought you only life once, why not!

In 2 months time, I am getting married and I thought what a great way to treat myself and aswell treat my future husband to be. I am currently working fifo as a Health & Lifestyle Coordinator and work 2:1 roster. Not only it will keep my future husband to be happy but it’s going to be the best thing I have done for my self-confidence. Throughout these years, I have did times where I haven’t loved my body and my appearance. You can say that I do sometimes suffer with self doubt on my body appearance. After doing this photoshoot yesterday, I am feeling so good in my own skin and I guess I have really surprised myself on how sexy I am.

“On Thursday I had the best experience of my life, I found the confidence in putting myself in front of the camera, which has been the hardest thing ever. I am the one that looks past the beauty and goes straight to the picking, picking out the negative and my flaws instead of looking at my outer beauty.

“Kristy took in to consideration the importance, circumstances and time limitations that I am under when my friend first contacted her about a session for myself (I had a mastectomy booked for the end of the month!). She managed to speed up the process - squeezing me in within a week of our first contact!

I was pampered having my hair and make-up done by Tammy and Katie, and then had such a laugh and so much fun being directed in to poses by Kristy. It was a very empowering experience! The snaps Kristy did show me I couldn't believe it was actually me!

The final product is a gift to my husband as a beautiful keepsake of me, the body he fell in love with and that grew and nurtured our girls.
