What is included in our Boudoir Experience
What is included in our Boudoir Experience? A question that we get quite often so I thought it is easier to cover it in depth over a blog. Firstly what is included and then some common questions. But just remember, our Boudoir experience is just that, an experience that is created for the client for what they are needing at that time in their life. It isn’t a one size fits all, rock up for a few photos kind of thing. A lot of planning goes into every single lady.
So every full experience has a set session fee of $695. Included in that fee is the following -
A Personalised Boudoir Experience Tailored to your wants/needs (learn more about that here)
A one on one pre consultation with Kristy to plan your session just for you
Professional makeup and hair on the day
Mimosas and refreshments
Use of our extensive clients closet
2 Changes or different looks
Portrait Session with no time restriction with professional retouching of final selected images
Viewing session within one week of your experience where you confirm your order
Access to our VIP group
The session fee does not include prints or digitals and a minimum studio spend of $1200 applies for every session. You can further customise your experience with some of our additional add on sets such as our new swing set, you can learn more about our add on’s here.
After your session fee, you then have your order which looks different for every single lady. Some ladies want it all! I mean wall art, album/s, and digitals. And some come in wanting just a piece of wall art or an album. Either way pricing of an order reflects that and can vary hugely between clients. You can learn more about some of our products here. The minimum amount of studio credit that is applied covers the minimum of what we need to cover as a business and would purchase as an example, a piece of wall art.
So two types of payment for a Full Experience, the session fee which is a set fee all inclusive, then your order which looks different for everyone.
Now to cover some of the common questions regarding the Experience and Session Fee
Question - Can I just have a mini session?
Simple answer is No. Because there is so much thought behind my full boudoir experiences, I made the decision early on to do it differently than you may find elsewhere. I didn’t want it to be the typical studio who has multiple clients in each day, I wanted the everyday woman to feel comfortable enough to come in and know that I wouldn’t be rushing them out the door. Taking all the time in the world they need to get the most out of their session. Obviously if we had back to back clients in a day then we would be offering shorter sessions but currently it just isn’t something that I want to put on offer. Simply because I want every lady to experience the entire experience because that is exactly what every lady deserves and nothing less. Can you do a shorter boudoir session? Well with me, the only way you can access the shorter sessions is through a Teaser experience. These are days I set up specifically to allow more ladies through the door. Or for those clients who have already had a full experience, they will be able to access more. Once a lady has come through for a full experience I feel much better about shorter sessions as they know what to expect, they have had the whole experience and know the team and I understand that they may just want a few images to get a little extra confidence boost. You can learn more about my Teaser sessions here.
Question - Can I just get the digitals?
So this is a common question and I have already written a blog on that, that you can read here and covers it more in detail. But the short answer is no, digitals are only available as an add on product.
Question - Can I do my own hair and makeup?
Answer - So this is always a tough one. Obviously I have worked with our team for a while now, I know their work is amazing and they know what I prefer as far as makeup goes for shooting. So I never offer a discount to clients who want to do their own as I would much prefer them to come in and relax on their lead up to their shooting time opposed running about and walking in the door ready to shoot. It is all part of the experience. I also am slightly a control freak and love to know what I am getting as far as quality goes. In saying that, some women prefer to do their own hair because they know exactly how they like it, and some prefer to do their own makeup and that is perfectly fine as well but this is something we work out at your planning session for you. Session fees aren’t adjusted for the simple fact if each client changed bits from their session fee it would make it impossible to try and track. So it is always all inclusive and we adjust the details for each client after discuss more in depth after booking.
Question - Do I have to use the clients closet?
For those who don’t know, we have a HUGE range of lingerie, robes, stilettos for our clients to use. But of course if clients prefer not to then that is ok too. Some women have lots of variety themselves and have no need to use it, where others have none. We always encourage those ladies to go get themself at least one set for their session so they can put it on later and feel amazing. But by coming to the planning session, we can discuss the best options for your body shape so it is a little less daunting when you head out shopping. You can see some of our clients closet here, although it totally needs an update as I have wayyyyy more to add.
Question - Will I know all the pricing details before my session?
Yes you certainly will. I personally cannot deal with the whole pressure sales thing that some clients have informed me other studios do. Before booking we go over a rough idea on starting prices and I answer all questions truthfully. Clients receive full access to our pricing BEFORE their session and we even offer pre payment plans to help them create their dream experience. I understand that clients have different budgets so I would much prefer to work with that with prepayment plans than waiting until the viewing and they are shocked by the pricing and simply cannot afford it. Nothing is hidden.
