How to pick a date for your session….
So you are wanting to book in a boudoir session for a special occasion? Maybe it’s for your birthday to celebrate you! Maybe it’s for your partners birthday to surprise them or maybe it’s a gift for your upcoming wedding or anniversary. Either way, it’s important to plan your session in advance. This is why we book up to 9 months in advance for sessions. If there is no rush on when you need your products for then a last minute session may work for you. Sometimes we have last minute spots become available, best way to know this is to contact us directly.
I want a session ASAP, can you do it?
This really depends on a few things as mentioned above but the following 2 things need to be considered.
Availability - this is availability of myself and the team. Being a full experience there is a lot of planning that goes into each and every session. This includes booking in 4 different ladies, hair, makeup, assistant and of course photographer.
Timeframe - depending on how last minute it is and if you are wanting just the session on or before a date OR you are needing your products too. Sometimes we can get a rush put on an order but again this depends on how busy suppliers are and this can mean extra charges.
Booking early not only ensures that you can get in, remembering we take limited bookings per week. But allows time for your images to be edited and albums etc to be designed and ordered. I usually advice ladies that if they are wanting their products for a special occasion to allow at least 6-8 weeks between session and date. And if it is over the Nov/Dec period allow a little longer due to it being the ‘silly’ season as far as photographers go on the lead up to Christmas. Ordering items takes longer, studios are busier meaning post processing can take a little longer than usual. And then over the Christmas/New Year period, most of our suppliers are closed as they are family run businesses which we are passionate about supporting. So if you are thinking of a session sometime in the future, think seriously about booking in a session sooner rather than later.
Booking your session in early also not only locks in the current pricing for your session which is subject to change without notice, it usually means you have more flexibility with choosing dates and gives you time to pick a collection and use a prepayment plan to pay it off if you wish to do so. It is a win/win all round.
If you would like further information on sessions please be sure to read over our other blogs which covers so much and if you already have done so, use the contact tab below to book in a call with the Team.
